PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communicating party information management method of portable communication terminal and the same for registering the communicating party information without considering capacity, by effectively utilizing external storage means other than the memory comprised in the same portable communication terminal. SOLUTION: Information in the vacant region of an address note 41 is detected, and whether the vacant region is sufficient or not for addition of new communicating party information is determined with a vacant region determining unit 32 in a control unit 12, for newly registering (or updating) the communicating party information to the address note 41 in the portable communication terminal 1. If the vacant region is determined not sufficient, the additional information in any of the communicating party information in the address note 41 stored (shifted) to an external memory 50 with an external memory storing unit 33.
