PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select the scanning mode at a user request freely and simply and improve a user's convenience in the regulation of the direction of an antenna by providing a plurality of scan modes with different specifications such as a necessary required time, receiving direction accuracy, etc. in multiple directional antennas connected to a digital TV broadcast signal receiver. SOLUTION: The digital television broadcast signal receiver displays a scan mode selection screen (S1), performs auto scan mode processing (S4) in the case of auto scan mode selection (YES in S3) at the time of scanning mode selection (S2) from the menu image of scanning mode selection which writes a required time, etc., performs this mode processing (S6) when a signal status scan mode is selected (YES in S5) in the case except it (NO in S3), performs this mode processing (S8) when an extended scan mode is selected (S7) in the case except it (No in S5), and ends it.
