PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently store hydrogen in an organic compound by bringing the organic compound into contact with gaseous hydrogen. SOLUTION: Hydrogen is incorporated into solid substance obtained by bringing the liquefied organic compound into contact with gaseous hydrogen and cooling. Specifically, the organic compound is heated to be liquefied and the liquefied organic compound is sprayed into a gaseous hydrogen atmosphere in a vessel to bring the droplets into contact with gaseous hydrogen while settling down the droplets and solidified during the droplets are floated or after settled down to the bottom of the vessel. As the organic compound, one forming a hydrogen molecular compound, particularly a hydrogen inclusion compound in which hydrogen molecule is included by the contact with gaseous hydrogen is suitably used.
