ELECTRET, GAS PURIFYING FILTER, AND THEIR MANUFACTURING METHODS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electret body exhibiting excellent performance when a positively-charged or negatively-charged particle particularly like a toner particle is collected and a gas cleaning filter. SOLUTION: An electret is manufactured by bringing a needle having a resin on the surface into contact with a nonwoven fabric comprising a polyolefin fiber (A). The polyolefin fiber comprising polypropylene is used and the resin which is present on the surface of the needle and comprises an acrylic resin is used when the electret described in (A) is manufactured (B). The polyolefin fiber comprising polypropylene is used and the resin which is present on the surface of the needle and comprises a halogen-containing compound-based resin is used when the electret described in (A) or (B) is manufactured (C). The gas cleaning filter is manufactured by forming a sheet containing the electret described in (A), (B) or (C) into a pleated shape or a corrugated shape (D). COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
