The invention relates to a system for conveying, transporting and/or housing individuals and objects in general, such as packets, parcels, containers, dwellings and vehicles, in stores, garages, car parks, production lines and other spaces designed for said purpose. The inventive system comprises a grid structure which defines numerous platform parking spaces. According to the invention, the grid structure consists of longitudinal and transverse guides on which the platforms are mounted, said platforms comprising rolling means such that they can be moved and positioned in the corresponding space. Each platform is equipped with two load-carrying trays which are disposed on bands that enable the platform to be moved longitudinally and transversely on the grid. In addition, each of the parking spaces is provided with means enabling the longitudinal and transverse movement of the platforms, which are connected to means enabling the angular positioning thereof, in accordance with the direction in which the platforms are to be moved. The aforementioned longitudinal and transverse movement means are defined by a set of rollers that is coupled to a an electric motor-reducer which is used to actuate said rollers and on which the bands rest. The above-mentioned angular positioning means are defined by a rotating plate which is actuated by an electric motor-reducer with two directions of rotation. In this way, when the plate is rotated by 90° in one direction or the other, the direction in which the platform moves longitudinally or transversely on the structure changes. |
