Disclosed is a built-in illuminator (10) which is used as an exterior and interior light and comprises an LED wafer (20) that is disposed in a housing (11) and can be inserted into an elongate hole (26) in a wall. In order to further develop said built-in illuminator (10) such that the same can be incorporated into thin-walled tubes (25) with a light diffusion surface lying flush in the external face, the housing (11) matches the shape of the elongate hole (26) in the wall (27) of the tube (25), the width of the housing (11) matching the width of the elongate hole (26) and the length thereof being greater than the length of the elongate hole (26). Furthermore, both ends of the housing (11) are provided with notches which are embodied as flanged ends (12) with a light diffusion point (15) that protrudes therebetween, the height of the protrusion matching the thickness of the wall (27) and the light diffusion surface (16) of the light diffusion point (15) lying flush inside the external face of the wall (27). The housing (11) is fitted with a hollow space into which the LED wafer (20) that encompasses electrical connection means is inserted. The housing (11) is also fitted with means for attaching the built-in illuminator (10) to the wall (27). |
