A collision judgment is performed by using at least one of the output signals from a front G sensor (1) arranged at the front end of a vehicle and an analog G sensor (6) arranged in a vehicle. By using the output signal from the output terminal of the analog G sensor (6) or at least one output signal from the front G sensor (1) or a safing G sensor (5), safing judgment is performed. When the collision judgment signal and the safing signal are both significant, an ASIC2 (9) and a transistor switch (11) drive a squib (3) for starting an air bag.
