<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic gain control amplifying device 100 for a multi-carrier signal which does not use a pilot signal and is adapted to multiple carriers which change in number (channel) and adapted to multiple carriers the intensity level of each of which is random. <P>SOLUTION: A carrier count part 40 counts carriers 560 included in a multi-carrier signal 510, an automatic gain control part 50 with a dividing function obtains the total electric power of the multi-carrier signal 510, and the total electric power is divided by the number 560 of carriers to control the gain of a variable gain amplifier 30 based upon the result. Or a carrier capture part 70 captures one of the carriers included in the multi-carrier signal 510, a variable band-pass filter 80 selected only the captured carrier, and an automatic gain control part 50z controls the gain of the variable gain amplifier 30 based upon the electric power of the selected carrier signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
