HAZARDOUS MATERIAL DETECTING SENSITIVITY-CONTROLLING METHOD OF BIOSENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means adjusting quantitatively hazardous material detecting sensitivity (rate of respiratory inhibition) of the biosensor, by judging the activity of the biofilm of the biosensor during the operation of biosensor.

SOLUTION: In a method of detecting the hazardous material in environmental underwater using the biosensor consisting of the biofilm and the dissolved oxygen electrodes, the preset temperature of the aforementioned biosensor is controlled within the limits of 5 to 30°C, based on the biosensor temperature characteristic database including a temperature characteristic curve of the oxygen consumption rate and a temperature characteristic curve of hazardous material detecting sensitivity.
