<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which an aluminum-alloy film is used and the aluminum film directly contacts a transparent electrode eliminating the use of a barrier metal, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises, as main constituents, thin-film transistors arranged on a glass substrate, pixel electrodes formed of the transparent electrodes, and connecting wiring members formed of the aluminum-alloy film that electrically connects the thin-film transistors to the respective pixel electrodes.
