<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layered golf ball with improved flight performance and excellent shot feeling. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball comprises a core, an intermediate layer for covering the core, and a cover layer for covering the intermediate layer. The cover layer is made of a resin composition with a Shore D hardness of at least 52. The intermediate layer includes cation-treated stratified silicate and is made of a resin composition with a Shore D hardness of lower than 55.
