PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech path control apparatus capable of assigning a highway with a required number of time slots to a basic speech system package by monitoring a highway assigned to a speech path system package and a time slot assigned to a speech circuit and detecting the highway without providing an exclusive highway on the basic speech system package. SOLUTION: The speech path control apparatus includes: a highway selection means 6 connected to transmission highways the transmission highway numbers of which are SHW0 to SHW3 and reception highways the reception highway numbers of which are RHW0 to RHW3 and for selecting a transmission highway and a reception highway on which the speech channel system package 8 is not installed; and the basic speech system package 7 such as a PB receiver essential for an electronic exchange 1.
