PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize power line communication in which the configuration is simple although an AC-DC adapter is used and connection work can be facilitated. SOLUTION: In the power line communication device, a notebook PC 11 and an AC-DC adapter 13 are connected through a DC power cable 12 and the AC-DC adapter 13 is connected with an AC outlet through an AC power cable 14 thus supplying power to the notebook PC 11. A communication signal delivered by AC from the AC outlet through the AC power cable 14 is received by the AC-DC adapter 13 and transferred onto DC before being delivered to the notebook PC 11 using the DC power cable 12. On contrary, a communication signal delivered by DC from the notebook PC 11 through the DC power cable 12 is received by the AC-DC adapter 13 and transferred onto AC before being delivered to the AC outlet using the AC power cable 14.
