PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper magazine that prevents paper from being damaged, by adopting a mechanism for automatically opening a take-up guide and an attached guide by the use of tension caused in paper wrapped around a core. SOLUTION: The vicinity of the core of the take-up guide is positioned inside a tangent to the core so that paper is passed inside the tangent in a set position. This increases the length of the arm of a moment, thus making it possible to push up the take-up guide with small force. Accordingly, reaction force that paper receives from the take-up guide consequentially decreases, and the paper is prevented from being damaged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
