摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device which has a high NTSC ratio, namely, high color reproducibility, even at a low temperature. SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes display dot electrodes provided correspondingly to a plurality of display dots individually, a plurality of light source LEDs (B, G, and R) for emitting light in blue, green, and red colors independently of one another, a display control circuit which selectively gives one of a blue signal Sb, a green signal Sg, and a red signal Sr to individual display dot electrodes to control turning-on/off of the display dots, and a light emission control circuit which causes the light sources to selectively emit light. The display control circuit uses two separated field periods which form one frame period in total, to give two color signals of a blue signal Sb' and a green signal Sg' to display dot electrodes separately in terms of time. Light emission timing of the blue light LED (B) is synchronized with timing of giving the blue signal Sb', and light emission timing of the green light LED (G) is synchronized with timing of giving the green signal Sg'.
