PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily remove a front lid fit to a housing from a front side in a housing fitting device which fits the front lid to the housing of an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: A tubular housing 1 has a fitting hole 5 near a front side opening. The front lid 7 is fit to be attached and detached to cover the opening of the housing 1. The front lid 7 has an insertion piece 9 inserted along the inner wall of the housing 1 from the opening, a fitting projection 11 which is provided to project to the outside surface of the insertion piece 9 and fit to the fitting hole 5, and an insertion opening 29 which extends to the front side of the front lid in continuity from the outside surface of the insertion piece 9. A releasing member 31 is inserted between it and the housing 1 to be displaced toward the fitting projection 11 on the outside surface of the insertion piece 9, and a downward slope surface 31c formed toward the fitting projection 11 is brought into contact with a housing corner P in the opening.
