PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device with good durability which excels in light emitting efficiency. SOLUTION: The organic light emitting device has at least one organic compound layer containing a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes. The compound is expressed by a general formula (1) and contained in at least one of the organic compound layers. In the general formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>expresses a substituent, Ar<SP>1</SP>expresses an aryl group, n<SP>11</SP>expresses zero or more integers, and n<SP>12</SP>expresses four or more integers.
