PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting having a high contact pressure. SOLUTION: In a female terminal fitting 12 in which a main spring piece 27 extending frontward in a cantilever shape, and an auxiliary spring piece 30 extending frontward in a cantilever shape on the outer face side of the main spring piece 27 are formed in a sleeve part 19 in which a male terminal fitting 10 is inserted, a swelling part 31 hammered out from the plate face of the auxiliary spring piece 30 is formed on the base end part of the auxiliary spring piece 30. Therefore, the main spring piece 27 can be reinforced by the auxiliary spring piece 30, since rigidity of the auxiliary spring piece 30 can be enhanced.
