PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mortar admixture for troweling containing no asbestos component, capable of more smoothly plastered with a trowel, being mixed uniformly, and causing no discoloring etc., over time even if plastered as a surface layer, and a mortar composition therewith. SOLUTION: This mortar admixture for troweling is prepared by mixing 44-94 wt% (favorably 67-89 wt%) calcium carbonate, 5-50 wt% (favorably 10-30 wt%) perlite, and 1-6 wt% (favorably 1-3 wt%) PVAL (polyvinylalcohol).
