PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent irregularities by precisely grasping irregularities of every generating part of a drive signal to be applied to an element which carries out the action for making ink discharged. SOLUTION: A controller (a printer side controller 60 and a head side controller HC) makes a first unit signal generating part (first drive signal generating part 70A) generate the other first unit signal (driving pulse PS5') equivalent to a second unit signal (driving pulse PS5), and makes a first pattern for adjustment printed by dots (large dots) of a predetermined size formed with the use of a first unit signal (driving pulses PS1 and PS3) and the other first unit signal. Moreover, the controller makes a second unit signal generating part (second drive signal generating part 70B) generate the other second unit signal (driving pulses PS1' and PS3') equivalent to the first unit signal, and makes a second pattern for adjustment printed by dots of a predetermined size formed with the use of the second unit signal and the other second unit signal.
