PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the generation of chipping in a panel board without decreasing the operation efficiency of a washing part for removing organic foreign matter, such as garbage, by sufficiently permeating a washing liquid into a lateral crack to remove the crack. SOLUTION: The subject washing device has a first washing part 4 which stores a first washing liquid 8 prepared so as to have a surface tension smaller than that of water, and washes the panel board 3 of a liquid crystal display panel 2 while permeating the first washing liquid 8 into the lateral crack generated in the panel board 3 by dipping the panel board 3 in the first washing liquid 8, and a second washing part 13 which stores a second washing liquid 15 for removing the organic foreign matter, and washes the panel board 3 so as to remove the organic foreign matter sticking to the panel board 3 by dipping the panel board 3 in the second washing liquid 15.
