PAPER SUPPORT FOR THERMAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND THERMAL RECORDING MEDIUM USING THIS PAPER SUPPORT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording medium which is highly sensitive to a low applied energy and can produce an image of high definition quality.

SOLUTION: This paper support for the thermal recording medium has not more than 0.9 density (JIS P 8118) and not less than 30" Beck's degree of smoothness (JIS P 8119). The thermal recording medium has a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or pale-color basic leuco dye and a developer as main components, formed on the paper support.
