PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of communication systems to communicate with each other using the same connector, to make an electric apparatus of a different communication system connectable to said connector, to apply the communication adapter even for a connector with no idle terminal and further to automatically discriminate and switch the plurality of communication systems without user operation. SOLUTION: The communication adapter comprises: a connector 11 for connecting to various electric apparatuses 1; a switching unit 8 which includes a plurality of communication systems for communicating with the electric apparatuses 1 via the connector 11 and outputs any one of the plurality of communication systems to the connector 11; a power receiving terminal 4 for receiving power from the electric apparatuses 1 connected to the connector 11; and a voltage detecting unit 21 for detecting the voltage of the power receiving terminal 4.
