PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein rainwater overflows (gathers) on a pavement surface, since the rainwater passed through the under surface side of respective pavement plates becomes a saturated state in a roadbed layer 4 and a roadbed 3 part, when there is a rainfall over a long time on the pavement surface using the pavement plates. SOLUTION: This pavement plate for road surface pavement is laid on the roadbed layer 4 or a roadbed 3. Water guiding recessed grooves 13 and 14 of at least each one or more are formed in the respective longitudinal and lateral directions on a reverse surface 12 of a pavement plate body 10. The respective recessed grooves 13 and 14 are formed in a position mutually communicable with a recessed groove of an adjacently laying separate pavement plate. The pavement structure using this pavement plate 1 can prevent the rainwater from becoming the saturated state on the under surface side of the pavement plate 1 (prevent the rainwater from gathering on the pavement surface) by making the rainwater permeated into an under surface of the pavement plate 1 quickly flow (drain) via the respective recessed grooves 13 and 14.
