Slicing machine has a cutting platform arranged beside the supply unit (16) and a discharge element (6) with one discharge opening for common discharge of splinter and cooling liquid. The cutter (3) has an elevation element for vertical raising of splinter. A fixed cutter (5) is arranged in the upper area of cutting platform. A conveyor (8) for forwarding splinter below the discharge element is also arranged. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool for clamping of work piece.
