<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streaming data receiving and reproducing terminal whereby a user can sufficiently grasp the whole contents when streaming reproduction is interrupted and thereafter the streaming reproduction is restarted. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal includes: an operation means; a storage means; a data communication means; and a control means. The control means carries out the processing of transmitting a connection establishing request to a server and transmitting a contents reproduction request to the server after the connection establishment. Further, the control means also carries out reception reproduction processing for receiving contents data related to a reproduction request transmitted from the server through the connection and reproducing the data. Moreover, the control means carries out processing of storing specific information for specifying a part in the contents data corresponding to a point of time of a prescribed timing in the prescribed timing during the reception reproduction processing, to the storage means without transmitting a connection interruption request, and carries out the processing of transmitting a contents reproduction request to the server together with one piece of specific information in the storage means when the operation means accepts the reproduction restart operation of the contents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
