<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic which has a good moisture resistant load characteristic, a desired high dielectric constant, a desired temperature characteristic of capacitance, high breakdown electric field strength and excellent reliability, and to provide a ceramic capacitor for medium/high voltage applications, which is produced by using the dielectric ceramic. <P>SOLUTION: A ceramic sintered compact 1 has a composition expressed by formula: 100(Ba<SB>1-x</SB>Ca<SB>x</SB>)(Ti<SB>1-y</SB>Zr<SB>y</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>+aReO<SB>1.5</SB>+bMO<SB>z</SB>(wherein, Re is at least one kind selected from Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y; M is at least one kind selected from Ni, Fe, and Zn; z is a positive number uniquely determined in the relation with the valence of the element M; 0<x≤0.10; 0<y≤0.25; 0.1≤a≤4; and 0.01≤b≤5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
