<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly curve and easily slacken a carrying recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A chute 22 has a guide surface 60 curved in a recessed shape. In paper 3 sent out of register rollers 17A and 17B, its tip gradually becomes a curved attitude as advancing to the downstream side while slidingly contacting with a guide surface 60, and clearance is formed between the paper and the guide surface 60 due to stiffness possessed by its paper 3. Thus, the paper 3 can be smoothly curved. When a carrying speed Vr of the paper 3 by the register rollers 17A and 17B is larger than a carrying speed Vb by a carrier belt 29, a slack of the paper 3 is released to the clearance with the guide surface 60, the paper 3 can be easily slackened.
