<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interactive TV program guide system for determining a user input value for demographics category. <P>SOLUTION: The system is provided with a user television equipment (44) which comprises a receiver for receiving a program guide information for interactive television program guide, a user input receiver (62) for receiving a user input from a user interface (for example, a remote controller (54)), a microprocessor for determining a user value for demographics category using the user input which is received, and a memory in which a determined user value is stored.
