PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat spreader capable of alleviating temperature difference which arises during use of a display device such as a plasma display panel, a light emitting diode or a liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The heat spreader (10) for the display device, such as the plasma display panel, the light emitting diode or the liquid crystal display is constituted by comprising at least one sheet of compressed particles of exfoliated graphite (the sheet has a surface area greater than the surface area of that part of the display device where a localized region of higher temperature is generated).
