PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element unit in which a solid-state imaging element is pasted to a phase grating type optical low-pass filter to form one unit, capable of keeping a good imaging performance at all times by eliminating blurring on counter surfaces of the low-pass filter and the solid-state imaging element which is caused by temperature changes. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging element 2 and a phase grating optical low-pass filter 6 arranged before it are pasted together through a breathable spacer frame 7 of which a plurality of ventilation slots 8 having the length extending from the inner peripheral edge to the outer peripheral edge are formed on both surfaces.
