PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump structure minimizing drop in discharge and reducing noise. SOLUTION: Communication grooves 7 connecting a suction side with a discharge side of a gear pump are provided in a land part 5 of a pump cover. Due to this, oil pressure inside enclosed parts 40 formed by engagement of gears 10, 20 can be discharged to the discharge side or suction side via the communication grooves 7, and the oil pressure inside the enclosed parts 40 can be reduced. As a result, rapid fluctuation of oil pressure inside the gear pump can be reduced, and noise of the gear pump can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
