PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the bending quantity of the bent part of a material for a carcass ply by uniformly holding the push-in pressure applied per one cord over the total length of the material for the carcass ply. SOLUTION: This bent part forming apparatus 1 has a support stand 4 equipped with the connection groove 3 continuously formed in the same direction corresponding to a push-in roll 2 and the leading end shape of the push-in roll 2. The material 7 for the carcass ply formed by coating with a rubber 6 a plurality of cords 5 arranged in a mutually parallel state is supplied to the gap between the push-in roll 2 and the support stand 4 while both side parts of the material 7 for the carcass ply at the time when they are wound around the bead core embedded in the tire bead part are pushed in the continuous groove 3 of the support stand 4 by the push-in roll to form the bent part 8 bent in the direction wound around the bead core. This bent part forming apparatus 1 has a means 10 for uniformly holding the push-in pressure applied per one cord over the total length of the material for the carcass ply.
