Monofilament yarn for use in an industrial textile, in which the yarn has a bi-nodal cross section, and an industrial fabric, preferably a paper making clothing, which includes at least one monofilament yarn with a bi-nodal cross section. Further, a method of making an industrial fabric having a monofilament yarn with a bi-nodal cross section includes extruding a single filament yarn through a die to produce a monofilament yarn having a bi-nodal cross section.
