The preheating system for cold start of an engine run on vegetable oil has a heat exchanger (2) with an integrated spiral heating cartridge (12). The fuel system consists of a pre-feed circuit (3) from the fuel tank (9) to the heat exchanger and in which are located a fuel filter (10) and a check valve (11), and an additional fuel pump (4). A smaller second heating circuit (5) leads from the heat exchanger to the injection system (8) and in this are included the original fuel pump (6) and heating hose (1).
