<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, configured to determine an exposure time using both the electronic shutter of an imaging device and a mechanical shutter, in which a configuration for appropriately setting the operation timing of the electronic shutter is obtained, without having to separately arrange a sensor for detecting the running of a mechanical shutter blade. <P>SOLUTION: Running characteristics of a light-shielding blade are calculated, using the amount of electric charges accumulated between either first scanning for starting accumulating electric charges for each region of the imaging device or second scanning for reading electric charges, accumulated in each region and running of the light-shielding blade of the mechanical shutter for shielding light on a photodetection plane of the imaging device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
