PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an AC generator for a vehicle that can improve the cooling performance of a negative-pole side heat sink without imparting any influence to the cooling performance of a positive-side heat sink, and can increase a ventilation amount by a relatively simple means without increasing the number of cooling fins of the negative-side heat sink. SOLUTION: The AC generator for a vehicle comprises a positive-side support member and a negative-side support member that support a positive-side unidirectional conductive element and a negative-side unidirectional conductive element, respectively, between a casing body and a cooling fan, and are arranged on almost the same plane orthogonal to a rotating shaft. The internal peripheral face of the support member out of the positive-side support member and the negative-side support member that is located far from the rotating shaft is inclined so that the radial dimension of the support member is increased toward the fan side end face from the casing body side end face of the support member.
