PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an automatic transmission for correcting an operational error with steering operation in a vehicle with two manual shift parts. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle ECU 40 as a basic element includes a manual shift mode selecting switch 13 and a first manual shift part 20 provided on a select lever 11, a second manual shift part 30 provided on another portion than the select lever 11, such as a steering 14, and a multiple operation determining part 41 for determining multiple operation when the first manual shift part 20 and the second manual shift part 30 are operated in multiple. When the first manual shift part 20 and the second manual shift part 30 are operated in multiple, an operation signal from the first manual shift part 20 is executed in priority. With the first manual shift part more based on the intention of a driver prior to the second manual shift part, a shift stage is shifted as intended by the driver even in an operational error of the second manual shift part to keep speed travelling performance good.
