PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a space by solving a conventional problem that a body of a sensor protrudes outward of a crankcase since a cam surface structure equipped with a cam for neutral position sensing is formed on the outer peripheral surface of a shift drum and a neutral position sensor is provided to a crankcase. SOLUTION: A contact member for sensing the neutral position of the shift drum and the reverse position is integrally mounted in a shift drum jump turning prevention plate fixed to the end of the shift drum. A neutral position sensing position switch and a reverse position sensing position switch which can be energized when coming into contact with the contact member are integrally mounted in the crankcase or a crankcase cover.
