PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the use of software produced by unauthorized copying, regarding built-in software that is used not only in computers but also in general home electric appliances. SOLUTION: An authentication process program 23 authenticates a CPU 10 in hardware that uses the built-in software 21, and thereby determines whether or not the software 21 is a copy. If the software 21 is determined to be a copy, a violation processing program 24 is executed and the software 21 is surely executed thereafter. However, the execution of the violation processing program 24 precludes the software 21 from fully performing its proper functions, and the user is unlikely to be aware of the presence of both programs 23, 24.
