PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling engine speed at selecting operation, taking disturbance characteristics due to oil temperature into account. SOLUTION: If idling speed is lower than oil quantity inflow and outflow limit speed at selecting operation, a transmission controller calculates the oil quantity inflow and outflow limit speed according to oil temperature in a transmission and issue a command for raising idling speed to the oil quantity inflow and outflow limit speed to an engine controller. Consequently, sufficient hydraulic pressure is delivered from an oil pump and clutch pack inner pressure can be quickly raised according to oil temperature, time lag until engagement of a friction engagement element can be reduced and shift shock can be relaxed.
