PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful holding structure of a binding band, which enables a binding margin of the binding band, associated with the addition/elimination of paper and the like by a simple constitution, to be simply and selectably adjusted to an optimum length depending on the amount of the paper and the like. SOLUTION: In this holding structure X of the binding band 3, an insertion hole 22, which is formed corresponding to a binding hole Pa for the paper P and the like and which allows the insertion of the binding band 3, and an elastically deformable holding part 5, which holds an extra-length part 31, positioned on the anti-abutting-surface side, unabutting on the paper P and the like, of a backing member 2, of the binding band 3 inserted into the insertion hole 22, are formed on the backing member 2 abutting on one side of the paper P and the like. The holding structure X makes the extra-length part 31 of the binding band 3 selectively engaged with/disengaged from the holding part 5, so as to make the length of the extra-length part 31 variable, and makes the binding band held by the backing member.
