PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection device in which noises emitted from respective circuits are restrained from affecting each other. SOLUTION: An optical unit 5 is disposed almost in the central part of the chassis flame 6 of the housing of a device main body. An analog signal processing circuit substrate 13 and a power source circuit substrate 12 for a power source lamp are disposed one at the left end and at the right end, respectively. A shield case 15 is erected between the substrates in the backward and forward direction. The shield case 15 is therefore disposed so as to block the substrates, in an area connecting straight the analog signal processing circuit substrate 13 and the power source circuit substrate 12 for the power source lamp, so that noises emitted from the respective circuit substrates are absorbed by the shield case 15, and consequently they are prevented from affecting each other.
