PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water channel structure provided with an ascending/descending slope allowing a fallen small animal or the like to easily escape without hindering the water flow cross section of a water channel. SOLUTION: First water channel blocks 17a, 17b having a U-shaped cross section and connected to each other in the longitudinal direction are formed to have the same width as second water channel blocks 18a, 18b having the U-shaped cross section and connected to the upstream and downstream sides of the first water channel blocks 17a, 17b, respectively, and have the depth larger than those of the second water channel blocks 18a, 18b. Rod-like ascending/descending slopes 28a, 28b are fitted to a first side wall 21a of the first water channel block 17a and the first side wall 21b of the first water channel block 17b, respectively, in a manner of extending at an upward angle from the positions near an upper surfaces of bottom parts 20a, 20b, respectively. Since the first water channel blocks 17a, 17b are deeper than the ordinary parts, the placement of the ascending/descending slopes 28a, 28b does not hinder the cross section of the flowing water.
