<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method provided with a memory for storing data, involving a means for limiting a user's access right to data. <P>SOLUTION: A device is provided, particularly, for disclosing a right for access control to data. For example, which person or which user name given by authentication has a super-administrator right is manifested to every person. In a further preferable embodiment of access control, users are permitted to independently take over the right. According to this, since the administrator need not assign the right to an additional user, the right management can be simplified to a considerable degree.
