PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program photographing method capable of also controlling including image pickup conditions such as colors and sensitivity, and an electronic image pickup apparatus capable of performing such program photographing. SOLUTION: Registered variables are previously registered for each program photographic mode in a table 300. A registered variable column 320 consists of registered variable columns 320 for registering registered variables (in addition to conventional stop and shutter speed, zoom direction, emphasized color, sensitivity, WB (white balance), propriety of soft focus processing, propriety of cross filter processing and propriety of contrast emphasis) previously set for each program photographing mode. When a user selects a program photographing mode, each variable is taken out from a registered variable column 300 of a corresponding program photographing mode and is set to perform photographing.
