PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature of rotary electric machine and a manufacturing method for an armature wherein overlapping of crossover lines are avoided that may cause short-circuit failure and contact between a fusing electrode and winding that may cause junction failure, a commutator can be re-press fit, and the overall length of a motor is reduced by re-press fitting. SOLUTION: Regular winding is carried out to wind wires in slots 24b astride teeth 24c by an amount equivalent to a number of turns. Thereafter, dummy winding is carried out to wind wires so that they are connected to the wires of regular winding and the opening angle is acute between two crossover lines 28a.
