PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor of high jointing strength at solder connection part, of which shorting between external terminal electrodes is hard to occur. SOLUTION: A multilayer capacitor 11 comprises a laminate 12 and external terminal electrodes 41 and 42. The laminate 12 comprises a first main surface 13 and a second main surface 14. The laminate 12 has a structure where a plurality of dielectric layers 15 and a plurality of internal electrode layers 21 and 22 are alternately laminated. Via conductors 31 and 32 penetrate the plurality of dielectric layers 15, to electrically connect the plurality of internal electrode layers 21 and 22 together. The external terminal electrode 41 of the first main surface 13 comprises an overhang part 56.
