PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust-collecting unit built in an electro-optical device for easily removing dust sticking to the circuit board. SOLUTION: This dust-collecting unit is for removing the dust on the surface of the circuit board in an electro-optical device which has a circuit board to electro-optically display images in its image display area and has an elastic wave generator section for generating traveling elastic surface waves that run along the surface of the circuit board in the image display area when driven, and a drive means for intermittently driving this elastic wave generator section.
