PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably deliver a square article 2 such as a pail can; and to perform positioning by restraining a liquid splash even in the pail can after filling liquid. SOLUTION: This delivery device has a star wheel 4 for forming a pocket 6 for storing the square article 2, a rotary body 18 having a vessel placing plate 22 for supplying the square article 2 from this star wheel 4, and a vessel gripper 26 arranged on the rear side in the rotational direction of the square article 2 on the vessel placing plate 22. The vessel gripper 26 can vertically rock, and rocks upward when supplying the square article 2, and moves to an engageable position after supplying the square article 26 on the vessel placing plate 22. An abutting member 60 is arranged on the downstream side of a position for downwardly rocking the vessel gripper 26, and is pressed to the vessel gripper 26 by abutting on the square article 2.
